Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE) must be visually inspected monthly to ensure proper working order i.e. properly charged, hose in good shape, etc. Document this visual inspection on tags typically present on the PFE. There is an area on the tag representing each month of the year. After visually inspecting, simply initial on the month. You can also use other means of documenting your monthly PFE inspections i.e. spreadsheet, physical paper or other forms.
