OSHA COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate
UPDATE: Comment Period Extended Until January 19, 2022 (November 30, 2021 Update)
OSHA recently published an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) pertaining to COVID-19 vaccinations or testing for employers with 100 or more employees. In essence it requires these employers to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations of employees or have employees tested weekly who refuse the vaccination mandate. The employer has until January 4, 2022 to comply. While this federal OSHA ETS has been temporarily halted by a federal appeals court, it is expected to take effect and be successfully defended by OSHA. If you are a funeral home business with 100 or more employees, it is recommended you immediately take steps to comply. Ecolomed can assist with this effort by offering an online employee acknowledgement of vaccination status to help you better understand who is vaccinated and who is not.
